More buildings approved for Flushing

After long obstacles from the community in Flushing against the proposal of the Waterfront District, the NYC council approved the plan today. 39 votes in favor, 5 nays and 1 abstention. The developers are F&T Group, United Construction & Development Group, and Young Nian Group. They will build 1,725 units as part of the affordable housing under the mayor's plan.
