Mineola man arrested for burglary in Williston Park

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Mineola man on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 8:50 PM for a Burglary that occurred in Williston Park.

According to detectives, officers responded to Yummy Gyro located at 579 Willis Avenue for a Burglary that had occurred overnight. The proceeds from the Burglary were a lockbox containing approximately $3,000 and approximately $500 which was removed from a cash register. Officers conducted a thorough investigation and located the Defendant Anthony Miola, 49, of 337 Marcellus Road in a nearby parking lot. He was in possession of a glass pipe containing a burnt substance believed to be crack cocaine and it was determined he was responsible for the listed Burglary. He was arrested without incident.

Defendant Anthony Miola is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rdDegree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
