Meet at the local park resulted gunshots in Jamaica

The NYPD reported this afternoon around 3pm, a group of good teens met at the local park on Jamaica Avenue to discuss something. Then dispute arise and shortly multiple shots were fired by one group in the vicinity of 159th Street and people went into cover.

ESU recovered shell casings from the scene.

EMS reported injuries to walkers from falling down after running for cover. Shortly, one perp was taken into custody near Archer Avenue. Police say three more perps are on the search.

Detectives are checking hospitals for any walk-ins from gunshot wounds.

Local park goers have been complaining of illegal activities at the park for a long time but no actions have been taken.

The investigation continues.
