Mayor of NYC congratulates Queens Blvd

Its been three years since no pedestrian either struck or killed on Queens Blvd famously known as Boulevard of Death. Since 2014, the city has made many changes on Queens Blvd with bike lanes, stop signs replacing yield, more poles and concrete dividers. It costed $4 million tax payers fund. However, in 2019 more works will be added to Queens Blvd as part of $255 million dollars projects which are adding more dividers, trees, closing lanes for pedestrian benches and etc. A total of 138 pedestrians died on Queens Blvd alone from 1990 to 2014. Mayor di Blasio is scheduled to visit the road to announce the press statement as part of Vision Zero.
