Mayor di Blasio announced four locations as injection sites

Mayor di Blasio along with NYC Dept of Health have announced four location for supervised injection fatalities for heroin users as part of new program to prevent overdoses and deaths. The locations are Midtown West, Washington Heights, Park Slope in Brooklyn and Longwood in the Bronx. Queens location will be announced afterward. This is the first in the USA. They will be called NYC Overdose Prevention Centers. No identification or questions will be asked for illegal drug users and treatment will be available on the spot with unlimited visits. Non-profit agencies will provide fresh needles while city workers can monitor drug users inject heroin instead of public places. The District Attorney's Office received the memo to protect drug users from prosecution and approval is pending.
