Manhasset attorney arrested for embezzlement

Mineola - Alfred DiGirolomo, 61 of Manhasset was arrested on Wednesday, May 24 for allegedly stealing $229,990 from his clients while representing their lawsuits. DiGirolomo represented a client who owns restaurant from January 2014 to May 2015 when the client was not notified of settlement. The client contacted another attorney who reported there was settlement fund and reported to Nassau County's DA office. Further investigation reported DiGirolomo used the money for his own person expenses. He has been charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. If convicted, he is heading to jail for 5 to 15 years. pic by ncpd. Reported 5pm.
