Man shot in front of the house during robbery in South Ozone Park

It happened on Monday, September 5 around 11am when a 44 year old man was heading home on Sutter Avenue and 128th Street from a nearby park. A suspect approached the victim with a gun demanding gold chains but the latter refused and ran. During this time, the victim was shot in the leg and then a scuffle broke out. The suspect took off with two gold chains. Police reported a nearby surveillance showed the suspect entered a vehicle which could be a Toyota or Nissan. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital. No arrests made this time.
