Man busted for weapons during traffic stop in Cedarhurst

The NCPD report the arrest of an Inwood man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 7:25 PM in Cedarhurst.
According to Detectives, officers while on patrol, observed two males having a loud verbal argument while standing in the roadway of Westminster Road and Rockaway Turnpike. Shortly after, one male was observed walking back to his vehicle and attempted to leave in a 2008 BMW with dark tinted windows. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. As officers approached the vehicle, they observed the male subject reaching towards the back seat and glove compartment area.
A subsequent investigation revealed there was a firearm located in the glove compartment of the vehicle. Defendant Caleek Killingbeck, 21, Hempstead, was placed into police custody without further incident.
Defendant Killingbeck is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct, and a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The defendant Killingbeck will be arraigned on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead. (From NCPD)
