Man arrested for allegedly selling amphetamine diet pills

Bayside man taken out of his home and charged with allegedly selling amphetamine diet pills without prescription. Steven Bernhard, 66, was taken into custody from his home at 33rd Avenue and 213th Street. He is a former doctor of osteopathic (DO) similar to medical doctor (MD) who was accused of selling amphetamine diet pills without prescription out of his former office on Bell Blvd near Northern Blvd. He lost his license in 2013 for illegal prescriptions. Then on March 2015, after a 65 year old woman died of heart attack from the amphetamine diet pills without license was under investigation but never arrested or charged until now. Bernhard is also accused of running a pill operation between January 2013 to 2015 illegally prescribing amphetamine, Vicodin, Percocet and other drugs.
