Malone male arrested for menacing 2nd and CPW 3rd

On November 5, 2024, State Police members arrested Matthew A. Wood, age 38, of Malone, NY, for menacing 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 7:48 a.m., State Police members responded to State Route 30 in the town of Malone for a menacing complaint. An investigation determined Wood's was having a verbal argument with people in the common area of the apartment complex. Wood's became more irate, had an axe in his hand, and started threatening the victims. The victims went back to their rooms and contacted law enforcement.

Wood was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court.
