Male struck by bus died in Hempstead

The NCPD is investigating a fatal vehicular accident involving a pedestrian that occuured in Hempstead on Monday, November 29 around 11:15pm.

According to detectives, a 35-year-old male pedestrian was running south on Main Street and was struck by a NYCE bus that was travelling west on west Columbia Street. The male victim suffered serious body trauma and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
