Male hit by train dead on Long Island

The NCPD reported a male struck by train dead on Long Island. This is on the Merrick lane of LIRR in Merrick.

Power is shut down in both directions.

The shuttle buses are being arranged on the Sunrise Highway for alternate traffic for continued commuters for both directions.

The ESU is working to remove the body.

The medical examiner is standing by to transport the body pending autopsy.

Delays all around.
