Main routes robbery targets spiked in Queens

Police reported suspects targeted main routes for people to rob and the numbers have spiked for May and June. Most of the incidents occurred by bus stops while people were waiting. Union Turnpike from Kew Gardens to New Hyde Park reported over 20 incidents late at night. Hillside Avenue reported 6 from Parsons Blvd to Springfield Blvd. Horace Harding Expressway reported over 10 incidents. Main Street and Kissena Blvd reported over 20. The most incidents occurred on Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights over 50. Most of the incidents are under robbery of personal items, mainly electronics. NYPD advises all not to use phones while waiting for the bus as attacks can come from anywhere.
