Lyft driver arrested for forcible touching in Levittown

The Eighth Squad reports the Arrest of a Hicksville man for Forcible Touching that occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 1:10 a.m. in Levittown.

According to detectives, Jaspal Shergill, 35, of 38 Seymour Lane, while acting in his capacity as a Lyft driver, did forcibly touch a 30-year-old female passenger. The incident occurred at Taco Bell located at 3946 Hempstead Turnpike.

After an investigation, the subject was arrested without incident on March 12, 2020 at 6:55 p.m.

Jaspal Shergill is charged with Forcible Touching and Sexual Abuse 3rd degree. He is scheduled to appear on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
