Love overtook unemployment and homeless in NYC

Congratulations to NYC. The city now has the highest unemployment rate nationwide according to the Mayor's Office. At the same time, the city's Social Service Department reported the highest homeless ever and continues to increase daily.

Al While migrants from the open border continue to increase, many of them are now working at the local construction sites, retail stores and home services with healthcare, housing vouchers and much more. 90% of the shelters are now occupied by migrants in the city. Almost 5,000 homeless are on the city’s streets, in parks, on the subways, on benches and under highway overpasses.

One major plan, the Subway Safety Plan to reach out to homeless, criminals and others has increased the budget by working with nonprofits.

According to the Social Services Department, outreach workers on the subway have connected 5,000 people in the subway system to beds and other services. However, how many stayed in the shelter is not disclosed except for one day as per data. One major reason is the violence and unrest in shelters.

One time the local elected officials demand the homeless on the streets must not be removed but keep them there especially Brooklyn so nonprofits can continue to service them.
