Long time Briarwood diner is fighting for survival

Flagship Diner at 138-30 Queens Blvd, Briarwood is in new dispute with owners of building who want them out. The new owners, White Rock Management got approved from the city to build seven story apartment building with first floor for commercial use. The company already sent several legal notices to the 3 partner owners of diner to vacate before 2019 when the lease expires. About 35 people will be out of work. At the same time, patrons eating at the diner signed a petition which resulted over 2,000 signatures to keep it open for business.
