Long Island woman arrested for killing a duck

The SCPD reported the arrest of Audrey Zabielski, 73 of Hauppauge and charged with animal cruelty. 

The incident was reported on September 11 around 10:30pm when the Suffolk County SPCA received a call of a woman beating a duck.

Further investigation stated the original incident was reported on or about August 26 in a small pond located behind The Greens in the same area where the woman lived.

From the video obtained by the police, the woman was seen pursuing the duck on the land and then into the water attacking for no reason with an object.

She was released with a court date to appear on October 3.

The investigation continues.
