Long Island single vehicle accidents reported fatalities

Both incidents occurred on Sunday.

The latest incident involving a vehicle accident was on the Southern State Parkway westbound in West Babylon. This is by Exit 39 around 11pm when a car went into the woods with one dead and multiple injuries. This was a single vehicle accident.

The same day around 1:30pm a single vehicle accident in Merrick resulted with one dead. This is on Merrick Avenue near the local church. This was also a single vehicle accident after hitting a tree.

The medical examiners transported the bodies.

ESU is working at both scenes.

Both incidents are under investigation.
