Little Neck to Bayside plagued with burglaries

Police reported increasing burglaries from Little Neck to Bayside and June 2024 reported the highest. Most of the incidents occurred in the daytime where perps walked into the properties and broke inside from windows to back doors.

Three homes had owners inside the home and the perps ran out when screamed and all those occurred in Bayside.

Several residents, mainly Asians decided not to report to police for the fear of retaliation as many became victims in Bayside.

Most residents blame migrants living at the local shelters but police wouldn't confirm due to ongoing investigation.

According to the NYC Mayor's Office, migrants are dropped off to poor neighborhoods and that's almost 40% in Queens in one stretch from Jackson Heights to Corona.

The Mayor's Office stated the migrants often find work expanding to east Queens while 12% is dropped off in Long Island City and Astoria vicinities. The latter migrants often find work in Manhattan.

The third location is Bellerose of course it's Creedmoor and then Jamaica.

Those are the five locations with the most migrants in Queens.

Police advised all residents to stay alert.
