License plates theft are on the rise in Glen Oaks

Beside assaults and thefts from vehicles, license plate thefts are on the rise in Glen Oaks. Police reported the usual stretch from Union Turnpike with in-between of Commonwealth Blvd, Little Neck Parkway and 260th Street has residents license plates stolen. According to a source at Albany, stolen license plates are often used to pass toll booths illegally. Usually when the stolen plates are reported to police, a copy of report must be submitted to DMV.
