Let us try payroll taxes for MTA

The MTA chief is really sad after the Governor suspended the congestion pricing indefinitely.

Now the local elected officials are working on a different approach to please the MTA and the first one under consideration is payroll tax. Additional plan to drain money from the working New Yorker's has not been disclosed as of yet.

Payroll taxes are not in the governor's interest since it will affect small businesses and may have to terminate employees like California did. In California, after the minimum wage was raised, over 20,000 people were out of work.

At the same time, increase operational costs by increasing the price of goods.

A decision will be made in the coming weeks by both Senate and Assembly members before the summer session in the chambers and then head to vacations while the rest of the people have to work to cover growing bills.
