Late Friday fed lawsuit filed against NYC

By Friday late evening, December 14, a federal judge ordered Mayor di Blasio and NYCHA to submit in writing of how they will fix the tenant issues inside public housing from heat, hot water, mold to etc.

The judge was not amused by the response of keeping NYCHA as it is with local operation controlled by the city while a portion of tenants are sleeping at night with no heat. The mayor reported NYCHA requires $32 billion dollars and can arrange $24 billion within 5 to 10 years by selling city's vacant lands to private developers.

Meanwhile, US Dept of Housing Director, Dr Ben Carson reported a reasonable plan must be submitted by January 31 or the fed will take over the NYCHA which will result loss of major source of income for the city.
