LIE westbound closed in Queens

Long Island Expressway closed by 58th Avenue after the BQE reporting multiple vehicle accident with injuries. The incident happened around 9:30am involving off-duty cop who is in critical condition. Multiple injuries reported. One driver in custody. It's a mess. Avoid the route.

This is the second time LIE is closed today. Earlier around 4:30am, westbound in Manorville, Suffolk County reported vehicle accident with 6 injuries causing LIE to remain closed hours.
