Jamaica Avenue closed for BLM mural

Jamaica Avenue, 153rd Street and Archer Avenue are closed getting ready for BLM mural to be painted today. The announcement came last minute as the NYC mayor was asked to do the task quickly by local BLM organizers when he was in Richmond Hill yesterday. The BLM (Black Lives Matter) will be painted inside street of 153rd between Jamaica and Archer Avenues by community members after getting the go from the mayor. Also, the mayor has not responded whether he will be back in Queens for the second day.
Update - NYC mayor will be in Queens for the second day at 1pm. The event is open to the public.
Correction - The BLM mural will be painted on Jamaica Avenue and not the inside street after mayor approved the change. Jamaica Avenue is also named Black Lives Matter Way where the mural is.
