Its 200 and climbing in NYC

In 2020, there were 59 non-fatal shootings of youths. In 2021, that number doubled to 115. Then the NYC Mayor blamed gun violence. For the year 2022, it is 221 not including this weekend.

As for the victims with bullets, the NYPD data reported over 300 so far.

After the Buffalo incident, NYC went on high alert today and deployed police to churches in the black neighborhood. Now local politicians who campaigned for defund want no police presence demanding NYPD to leave.

For 2021, 488 murders in NYC while Chicago the number uno had 798. That's 2 a day in Chicago and 1 a day in NYC for that year.

With 8.8 million people, the murder rate is low compared to other cities thus the reason why both former Mayor and current Mayor along with local politicians stating it's the safest city.
