It was slow sure slow until robbed on the Belt

After a slew of complaints of robberies and thefts on the Belt Parkway from Brooklyn to Queens stretch, police have started removing homeless camps. The NYC Dept of Homeless Services, Dept of Sanitation and other agencies joined the task force. All are removed from the parkway after two motorcycle riders were robbed over the weekend during slow moving traffic. One of the bikes was taken after displaying a weapon on the Queens side. Over 30 people were robbed and assaulted on the Belt Parkway during slow traffic. Police from the local precinct are now patrolling the parkway checking for more illegal camps. All are moved to shelters with programs courtesy of the Mayor's new campaign to remove homeless camps from NYC.
