It s a huge day for Long Island

At 1pm, UBS Arena in Elmont will witness the grand opening ceremony today. The public is not invited but can see it far or through news. The Governor is on the way for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Tomorrow at 7pm, it will be the Islanders first home game in the arena. Tickets are already sold out to seat 17,000 people inside.

Traffic will be heavy on the CIP by Elmont tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, in the same location protesters will be having their opposition outside.
