Homicide investigation of a 3 year old in Elmhurst

The detectives are investigating a homicide case of a 3 year old who was found dead on November 13 at the local shelter in Elmhurst. This is on Queens Blvd at the Family Residence Shelter. Police were called to the location after the 3 year old male child was found choking on food. AFter the child was taken to a local hospital, he was dead. The city's medical examiner conducted an autopsy resulting in the child died of injuries from blunt force.

Detectives are continuing with the investigation with his parents who also live in the shelter and others.
