Homicide investigation in Garden City

The NCPD reporting a homicide investigation that occurred on Monday around 9:30pm in Garden City.

According to the NCPD, police responded to a call for an unconscious male, 83, at a home on Monroe Street. Upon arrival, officers noticed the male appeared to suffer from a laceration to his head. Aided was pronounced at 9:34 p.m. by paramedics.

Upon further investigation by detectives, the 3rd Squad and the Garden City Police Department, home health aide was placed under arrest later at the scene. Ongoing investigation.
