Homicide investigation at a home in Nassau County

The NCPD reported the body of a 46 years old woman was found inside a home in Herricks. The incident was reported on Friday, October 17 in the vicinity of Larch Drive around 4pm when cops went to the location for a wellness check. No one else was found at the location when cops arrived.

The medical examiner transported the body.

After the autopsy, the medical examiner ruled her cause of death was “criminal homicide due to asphyxiation by an unknown chemical substance."

Police identified the victim as Asif.

Detectives are questioning family members and others for more information.

The investigation continues.
