Homeless vouchers done now shoplifters in NYC

The NYC Mayor stated one part of the homeless encampments have been cleared in Brooklyn. This is under the BQE roadways in Williamsburg. Each of the removed were given social services such as shelter or housing along with vouchers for various programs. Today, the Mayor announced his next task list. Retail thefts.

Starting next month, any shoplifters will be arrested and charged. The Mayor didn't respond on the bail part since it's a state matter still under discussion with both majority leaders of the Assembly and Senate. The Mayor stated more task forces are underway to clean up NYC in the coming weeks but nothing on the crime.

This came after municipal workers refused to do in-person in the five boroughs.
