Homeless man arrested for church burglaries in Elmhurst

Elmhurst - Police arrested Joseph Woznik, 42 and charged with burglary. Woznik allegedly burglarized St James Episcopal Church on Corona Avenue and Broadway on March 24. He took off with $1800 cash. On April 10, Woznik broke into St Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church on Woodside Avenue and 74th Street. He took off with $10. Police believes he may have broken into other religious places. The investigation is ongoing. Reported 12pm.
