Home invasion in New Hyde Park and Kew Gardens

Just now confirmed, the NCPD is reporting a home invasion in New Hyde Park. This is in the vicinity of Maple Drive and New Hyde Park Road. Several parents also say local schools are on lockdown since the incident.

A witness stated the suspects took off in a vehicle toward New Hyde Park Road. EMS is attending to the victims.

Chopper is hovering above.

As for Kew Gardens, the NYPD reported a similar incident on March 19 around 7:30pm. This is in the vicinity of Mayfair Road where the suspects pushed their way into a home and took off with over a million dollars worth of merchandise. Police say five suspects wearing all black took off in a white Toyota SUV. EMS treated the victims on the scene who were tied up but not injured.

Detectives didn’t say if both were targeted.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
