Home invasion and robbery investigation on Long Island

The SCPD reported a home invasion and robbery at a location on Long Island. This is in Amityville, Suffolk County.

Three suspects targeted a victim and entered the location with one displaying a weapon.

The incident was reported around 1:30pm this afternoon.

The suspects took off with $200,000 cash in a vehicle, Audi, toward Sunrise Highway. The vehicle was tracked after matching the description in Copigue. One of the suspects exited the vehicle and took off on foot. Police apprehended the suspect shortly.

From there, the vehicle was tracked to an inside street where both suspects took off on foot. One of the suspects was arrested shortly.

The search for the third suspect continues.
