Hit and run on LIE eastbound

Police are reporting hit and run on Long Island Expressway eastbound at 99th Street in Corona. A pedestrian was struck by vehicle. Police didn't disclose the details of why the pedestrian was on the highway. The victim, a 40 year old male was taken to hospital with injuries. Police reported the vehicle that struck is a black Toyota. Ongoing investigation.
