Hillside Avenue closed due to a bus fire

FDNY report a fully involved school bus fire on Hillside Avenue. This is by the Clearview Expressway Exit in Queens Village.

EMS reported minor injuries.

Firefighters confirmed the bus fire extended to the commercial building next to the gas station.

Heavy firefighter activity on Hillside Avenue now closed in both directions.

Local residents and commercial stores are advised to close windows due to heavy smoke in the area.

Ongoing investigation.
