Hey look its tower firehouse the first in Queens

Coming soon to Elmhurst is the first 5 story FDNY house and it's the first stand alone in NYC.

The lot owned by the FDNY under NYC, 86-53 Grand Avenue has filed permits to make it a 5 story fire station. This is near the Grand Avenue-Newtown subway station.

First, the demolition is set to take place and the date has not been announced as of yet. Then 5 stories will house FDNY Engine 287/Ladder 136/Battalion 46 with community facility space.

Upon completion, this will be one of the largest fire stations in NYC.
