Starting July 18, 19 to 20, the NYC Health Dept announced aerial based mosquito larviciding in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn from 6am to 7pm.

For Queens, the following neighborhoods are listed, Alley Pond Park, Brookville, Edgemere, Kissena Park, Linden Hill/College Point, Rosedale, Somerville and the zip codes are 11354, 11355, 11356, 11357, 11361, 11362, 11363, 11364, 11365, 11413, 11422, 11430, 11691, 11692.

This is the definition of aerial larviciding, Helicopters drop eco-friendly larvicide over marshes and other large natural areas to kill young mosquitoes before they become adults. The City does not use helicopters to treat residential areas.
