Heavy police presence in Flushing with one arrest

Police arrested a Flushing resident, Javier de Silva, 24, after investigation of the homicide of Valerie Reyes in Connecticut.

de Silva, a citizen of Venezuela with expired visa was taken into custody pending charges. Reported Reyes was killed over domestic violence and was found in a suitcase sparking massive investigation. The case is now being handled by US Attorney's Office.

da Silva was the ex-boyfriend of Reyes and was traced after using her bank card.

Reyes mother reported of her missing which leads to her dead body in a suitcase.

Her current boyfriend is also cooperating with police.
