Heavy fire in South Ozone Park with multiple dead

The FDNY reported a heavy fire at a home in South Ozone Park around 3am last night. This is on 130th Street at the location 107 and 55. EMS transported over ten injured to local hospitals.

As of now, there are two dead reported.

Firefighters are still working on the scene.

The cause of fire is under investigation.

From local witnesses, this started as a domestic violence in the basement of the home calling 911. When police arrived, one of the basement tenant came out with unknown chemicals resulting explosion. Multiple police officers were injured and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Another witness say the basement tenant were being told to move out and a commotion started late night but during a press statement, the NYPD did not confirm this.

Also police didn’t disclose the details of fatalities.

The investigation continues.
