Heavy brush fire at Alley Pond Park in Oakland Gardens

FDNY reporting heavy brush fire at Alley Pomd Park in Oakland Gardens. This is by the service road of the Grand Central Parkway and Kingsbury Avenue across the coop.

This is now 2nd alarm.

According to local residents, there are homeless tents inside the park. Another resident reported of teens actively hanging around resulting reckless behavior.

NYPD has been notified for the area search.

EMS is checking for injuries.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
