Groundbreaking done in Flushing for the first soccer stadium in NYC

The first all electric soccer stadium in Queens.

The NYC Mayor along with union delegates who are critical for the election outcome along with local elected officials were in Flushing today for the groundbreaking to start the construction of the first soccer stadium in NYC.

The location will also have the so-called affordable housing project where rent can start with $2,000 per month for a studio.

Imagine how much two bedrooms will go for.

The stadium called Etihad Park will be open by the 2027 soccer season and it will be a boon to tourism by adding more connections from the LaGuardia Airport and Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Also a public school with 650 seats, a hotel with 250 rooms.

The entire transformational project is expected to generate $6.1 billion in economic impact over the next 30 years, creating 1,550 permanent jobs and 14,200 construction jobs.
