Gridlock Alert issued for UN week in Manhattan

September 23 to 30, its United Nations General Assembly in Manhattan for world leaders. The gridlock alert has been announced. NYC Dept of Transportation are advising all to use mass transit, bikes or walking whenever possible. This is the first time, bike lanes are added on 1st and 2nd Avenues. Also, bike lanes are 24 hours on 1st Avenue and 6am to 9pm on 2nd Avenue between 41 and 57 Streets. Routes subject to security checkpoints & traffic freezes
