Governor on rules for bars and restaurants

The NY governor announced that starting April 19, restaurants and bars can operate up to midnight. This came after minority owned businesses reported they won't be able to make it for summer. Fearing the loss of minority voters, the governor agreed to the midnight time slot for all to enjoy but no drinks are on him. As usual, indoor capacity remains at 50%. As for catered events, the time will be at 1am instead of the current 12am. May 6 is the last day to serve alcohol on the go for restaurants and bars. As of today, the bill for extension was removed from the state budget. This was pushed back by liquor store groups from losing their market share. Of course, we all know campaign donations play a crucial role for swinging left and right for the governor.
