Glen Oaks residents woke to airbag thefts

This week the NYPD reported over twenty five incidents of air bag thefts primarily from Honda was stolen in Glen Oaks. Most of the incidents occurred in the vicinity of Little Neck Parkway. Police have increased patrol since the incidents occurred within a couple of days this week. Surveillance videos are being checked for details on the perps and the getaway vehicles.

Meanwhile, residents are advised to park the vehicles in a well lit area, activate alarm, and use backup security devices such as a steering wheel lock, and storing your key-fob in a "faraday-shield" sleeve.
