Glen Oaks man dead after struck by vehicle in Little Neck

Police were called to Grand Central Parkway eastbound at Little Neck Parkway reporting a man struck by vehicle. It happened on Saturday around 3:30am. Further investigation reported the victim, a 30 year old was trying to get out of the vehicle due to his girlfriend behind the wheel driving reckless from alcohol. The victim jumped near Little Neck Parkway Exit and was struck by another vehicle. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from injuries. Police confirmed both the driver and his girlfriend stopped the vehicle and remained on the scene. The girlfriend was arrested. Grand Central Parkway was closed for a while. Update - The dead man identified as Arif Hoosein, 30 of Glen Oaks.
