Glen Oaks man busted for sexual harassment

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Bellerose man for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 7:30 PM in North New Hyde Park.

According to detectives, defendant Robert Chapman, 63, of Glen Oaks approached a 15-year-old female victim in the parking lot of 1596 Union Turnpike. The defendant offered the victim money to come to his vehicle. The victim refused and the defendant drove away in a tan colored 2006 Jeep Liberty. After a thorough investigation, the defendant was arrested without incident.

Defendant Robert Chapman is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
