Gang related assault in College Point

Police are at 20th Avenue and College Point Blvd reporting a male was struck with a hammer several times.

The victim collapsed on the sidewalk and two suspects took off. Police apprehended both suspects shortly.

Reported it was gang related serious assault and police believe there are more involved. one suspect had gun.

It happened around 8:45pm in College Point.
