GCP delay due to brush fire in Kew Garden Hills

The FDNY report large brush fire on the Grand Central Parkway westbound by Jewel Avenue. This is in Kew Garden Hills.

EMS reported injuries.

A local witness stated there are homeless camps by the bridge who were removed during the fire.

Delays on the Van Wyck Expressway, Jewel Avenue, Grand Central Parkway all around.

Local residents are advised to close windows and stay indoors.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
