Funeral details announced for the late officer

Lakeville Road between Hillside Avenue and Jericho Turbpike will be closed temporarily on July 5 and 6 for the late police officer who died in Deer Park on Friday from the car crash. The route on Sunday, June 30, will be carried from the medical examiners office in Manhattan via LIE eastbound to the Cross Island Parkway south to Hillside Avenue Exit in Bellerose.

Then to the funeral home in New Hyde Park on Lakeville Road.

Drivers in the area are advised to use alternate traffic on those days.

The viewing is open to the public.
